We'reeeeee Baaaaaack!

Whew...we are back form FL/Disney etc after just 9 hrs 20 mins in the car! Pretty darn good I would say considering Disney is about 40 mins away from my Dad's house (depending on traffic)and it takes us 8 hrs 45 mins from there to get home. Left the gas station right outside Disney at 7:55 am...arrived home about 5:15! Woo hoo!

We had a FANTASTIC time as usual! Can't wait to share with you all.

Will post Disney pix maybe later tonight or tomorrow (hint hint to my Daddy...send me some of your pix! ;), ha)

Florida Vacation, Day 3

More posing...the girl is TRULY a HAM! I have no idea where she gets it! ;) We had fun todya...lots of beach time then BACK to JB's Fish Camp (it was so good on Monday we had to have it again) for dinner. We got to see lots of dolphins in the waterway tonight. Off to disney tomorrow...

Florida Vacation, Day 2

Florida Vacation -Day 1, part 2

Florida Vacation Day 1

We're here! We left GSO at 6pm SHARP on Saturday after the recital...and arrived at the beach Sunday AM (yes AM) at 2:42 (3 minutes before my estimated arrival...this was THRILLING to my controlling self). Hubbie drove until about 12:40am...I drove from 12:45 - 2:42 am...I almost fell asleep every 2 minutes but I was determined to get to the beach so I toughed it out.

Daddy Bear from FL (who flew up Sat at 11am , ha) rode down in the back with OG. After arrival we unloaded ONLY the essentials....and we were in bed by about 3:15. YES!!!!! :)

We got up about 9am and after some breakfast, a run to the grocery by hubbie and some unpacking, we hit the beach about 11:45am or so. Daddy Bear & Kay Kay went home and we bid them farewell for just a few days. We stayed out till maybe 4pm or so on the beach. It was a beautiful day and OG enjoyed the sun & sand! She even took a nice nap in her little pink tent. No one got burned...in fact I think we used TOO much sunscreen. Oh well, better to be pale than in pain.

Recital Recap!!!!

She did it! She did it! OG completed her 1st (and possibly LAST, at least for a few years) recital! As in the rehearsal, she did so well! We were so proud. And since you couldn't videotape or take pix during the performances, we actually got to watch the whole things. It was so cute!!

Grandparents were there (at least 1 out of each of the 4 sets), an aunt and Mom & Dad! OG probably had the most guests out of anyone. She got some beautiful flowers after it was over and ...and she obviously couldn't wait to get her tu tu off of her body! ha

11 days off work means...HELLO Disney, here we come!!

WOO HOO! Today marked my last day of work for 11 days! YES, 11 days! WOO HOO I cannot tell you how happy I was for this day to end!! I was at a trade show ALL DAY on my feet ALL DAY so it was a long day ALL DAY!! But the second that trade show was over, I was out the door and my vacation was in full swing!!! YES!!!!!

I am taking off tomorrow just to get some things done: hair appt 8am, get my drivers license renewed (3 mths and 3 days past due...OOPS), return a 9x11 living room rug (we decided we liked the other one we bought better...we got 2 at the same time to compare), finish packing, do laundry, etc etc etc.

Saturday will be a CRAZY day...Daddy Bear will fly in from FL about 11 am (Kay Kay can't come b/c of her back surgery, BOO), other family will be coming in (driving) from VA & other areas of NC and we will have OG's recital at 4pm. Immediately after the recital (approx 6:15pm) we are hitting the road for FL. Daddy Bear, me, hubbie & OG. Daddy Bear would have only been in town only 7 hrs, when we load him in the car with us and take him back home. HA The drive to the beach should take about 8.75 hrs! We will arrive about 3am! LOL I figure we will be asleep and sort of unpacked (or at least unloaded) by 4am, sleep a few hours, then hit the beach!! I am hoping we will be out there by noon at the latest!!! FUN FUN FUN. I am also looking forward to meeting"airforcejules" while we are down there!! YEAH Then by Wed at 11am or so we will be off to Disney through Saturday and maybe through Sunday morning...we have yet to officially decide if we are staying Sat night on property, but I am sure we will. OGwill be 4 in June...and this will be her 5th trip to Disney!! LUCKY GIRL!

Sooo...wish us safe travels, light traffic, no sunburns, short lines at Disney and fun times!!! I won't have access to email at the beach (unless I can steal some wireless) but I hope to be able to access it at Disney.
