busy bee
WOW. Last night was super busy! OG had swim lesson and soccer...all within 2 hourse of each other. Now don't go getting all "she is doing too much"...her swim lesson was only 30 mins...and soccer was 45 mins.
We had our first swim lesson in 2 years. Last year at the end of the year in the pool she was almost/practically swimming. Then the pool closed. So I want to get her ready and used to the water before it re-opens at the end of May.
We are so lucky that her Poppi (my step-dad) is a wonderful swim coach and is so good with teaching the kiddos. He is going to work with her at a local indoor pool once or twice a week for a few weeks. I think it is going to be a good thing. Last night she said she had SOO much fun and can't wait to do it again. That's a good start! Her lesson started around 5:45. She was a little nervous at first, but at the end, she didn't want to get out of the pool. And because we had soccer to get to 30 mins after her lesson was over we were pushing it. We are going to try it some weeks at 2 days a week (Tues & Thurs) and some weeks one day a week (Tues). Can't wait to see my little fish swim!
After swimming was soccer. We are playing on a team this year with her BFF from school. It is a Y team again...named the Lions...same name as last year...different coach (thank goodness, ha). Her practice was at 6:45. She was a little nervouse at first (new team/new friends) but then she warmed up. I am not sure if soccer is her thing though. She doesn't like to chase after the ball and more likes to play around than PLAY the game. And that's ok. She said last night after practice she didn't know if she wanted to do soccer this year. I told her we would finish this season and if she didn't want to do it nex year, that was fine. But SHE was the one who asked for soccer this year...I wasn't planning on enrolling her. So we will see this through and be done if we need to be.
After soccer was over at 7:45, we went quickly b/c McD's for her to get dinner (cheeseburger and apples) ...she ate it on the way home...we had a quick bath, and she was asleep by 8:30.

Bathroom Remodel
Before - vanity and tub...and YES, that IS carpet on the floor. How we lived almost 3 yrs with a carpeted bathroom is beyond me. GROSS!
