Sorry for the lack of posts. I was at the beach from Thurs - Sunday of last wk...and this week has been busy. I just checked my camera and had ZERO pix on there from this week...promise to catch up this wknd.

BTW...sidebar...anyone watching Housewifes of NYC? Those ladies are crazy!! And the Orange County Ones? Good lord....Vicky is nuts. She thinks she is so great but she is MEAN...esp in that reunion show.

p90x OG style

Last week hubbie & I started a new exercise program, P90X, that will kick your booty. You may have seen it on TV...it is a die hard eating/workout plan for 90 days. Well, I went to the beach this wknd (Thurs - Sun nights) with some girl friends and fell off the wagon...LOL...but last week I was able to do the program before I left. And it was HARD. And on day 2, OG decided to participate with me. We did it downstairs in the den b/c hubbie was out of town and I could not figure out how to work the honkin TV in the man cave. LOL

As I mentioned in one of my 1st posts ever on this blog...the 13th, especially FRIDAY the 13th is a good day for me...and today will be no different. ;) I have already received some great gifts and well wishes...off to dinner tonight at Japanese with the local Fam. FUN FUN & YUM YUM...can't wait!

park time

I know I am a little behind, but I have been busy this week...either hubbie or I were both out of town almost every day this week on business. BUT, I am trying to catch up.

Here are some cute pix of OG at the park last weekend. She is in a warm coat but she could have probably done without it. We had some time last wknd where it was mid 60's in FEBRUARY. I'll take that ANYDAY!! And I think it was this Tuesday that is was 72??

Anyway, last wknd the park was fun...we got our her new bike for the 2nd time since Christmas b/c the beautiful weather allowed us to...and we had a great time. We played on the play ground and watched the ducks and had some nice family time. Ain't nothin' better.

Kindergarten Open House

Sniff, Sniff! My baby is definitely growing up. I can't BELIEVE she starts kindergarten in August! Where has the time gone? Just yesterday she was my 2 lb 9 oz little bit of nuthin’...and now we are going to kindergarten open house. LORDY!
Last Friday her future school held an open house at 9am. It was one of a few they are having over the next few months. A chance for the parents and rising kindergartners to get a tour of the school, ask questions and help ease some of the anxiety.

All 3 of us went and we were really excited. We met some other parents and kids and got a nice tour of the school. We even got to peek into some of the kindergarten classes and walk around in there. One room had an empty cubbie and OG said "I think that empty one there can be my cubbie, right Mom?" And I said "Maybe so Baby Girl!" She was so excited...and I almost cried as I choked out the words.

We got to walk around and tour the big ole cafeteria (they only have 20 mins to eat, not including, thank goodness, walking to and from and getting their food. It takes OG 20 mins to chew 2 bites...reality is gonna set in and it AIN'T gonna be nice)...and the library, and the music rooms, and art rooms and Spanish rooms. We even got to see a crazy form of group dodgeball in the "gym". FUN!!

OG had a good time walking around and seemed to feel right at home. She got a new pencil with the school name on it when we left and she was so excited about that.

I am just glad I have another 6+ months to prepare myself. She seems ready right now...Momma & Daddy on the other hand? Not so much.

snow goodness

We had a blizzard last night...a BLIZZARD I tell you. Well maybe not a blizard...but lots fo fun pretty fluffy snow...for about an hour +. It was so nice. And of course, as with the snow we had on Monday night too.....it did not stick to the streets. Tues AM we had bad ice on the roads and public school were cancelled (not not my work or OG's school, sigh). Today we had no ice and nothing on the roads barely, and schools were delayed 2 hrs.

Anywhoo...here are some pix from last night. For some reason OG didn't want to go out in the huge flakes of snow...but she did manage to stick her head out the back door and catch a few on her tongue.
