"Lights, Camera, Action...WIGGLES!"

For those of you who KNOW the Wiggles, you know the title to this post is one of their big songs! We LOVE the Wiggles in our household and we got to see them LIVE this weekend at the Coliseum! It was so great. We kept talking up the "Wiggly Concert" to OG, but I think she just thought we were going to watch them on TV somewhere.

When we arrived at the event and went inside OG was very excited! We had great seats...we were on the upper level, but front row of upper level. So we had a great view and actually had better seats than some of the folks on the lower level. Some of their shows were playing on the big screens and they had a great set on the stage. As the arena started to fill up with kids & parents, it got louder and louder and it seemd OG knew what was coming. When the lights went down the place went NUTS! Everyone was so excited...then all of a sudden "Toot Toot, Chugga Chugga...Big Red Car", The Wiggles came out on stage in their Big Red Car! She couldn't believe it! She was dancing on the floor and on the seats and doing the motions to all of the songs. It was SOOO cool!!

So this was OG's first concert...we kept the ticket stub for her "scrapbook". We know it is only a matter of years before she wants to go on her own to a concert to see whatever boy band is popular in 2016. For now tough, she is still our baby girl and we are looking forward to many Toddler Mosh Pits with her. :)

Dvia Dress -Up (accessory edition)

This weeks Diva dress-Up will be more about accessorizing than just clothes...mainly because I didn't take many pix this week and all I have to show you is basically accessories. So there.

OG is not much of a paci girl these days (except on mornings like this where a meltdown is in the near future). I think this Halloween paci accessory in AUGUST (even thought it IS the 2005 style...shhh don't tell), is helping to get everyone into the Halloween Spirit early. She ALMOST beat Target to the punch promoting the holiday so early.

Another fashion of the season is a "geet geet" (blankie)...forget flowy tops and oversized sunglasses..."geet geets" are the new black!!

And what would any good Diva be without her ipod??? ANYONE who is cool these days is sportin' one...it is the thing to listen to right after your shower when you have on your purple PJ's.

"Fah who for-aze!, Dah who dor-aze!" (yes, those ARE the words!)

Does OG look like little Cindy Lou Who?...from the Grinch? Over the past few months we have had a handful of people (who do not know each other) randomly tell us that. That can't just be a coincidence. What do YOU think? leave a comment and let us know. :)

Gauchos, gauchos everywhere...

I had to post a pic of OG in her black gauchos this morning! Those, paired with a cute 's flashdance'esque top from Target (of course), were just too cute to wait until Diva Dress-Up on Friay.

We hope you had a great weekend. W e went to VA and had a great time with PawPaw & Grandma. I didn't take any pix (sorry). But it was fun!!

Little Momma

Up until recently OG hasn't wanted much to do with baby dolls. She just didn't really bother with them. Over the past month or so though, she has come to love them. She will try to change their diapers, put them to bed, brush their teeth etc. It is so funny to watch her. She will brush their teeth and say "It OK" (because when she is screaming when we brush HER teeth, we always says "It's ok" to try to calm her down). She has a little set for baby dolls with a stroller, carrier, highchair and pack n play. She LOVES it so much. She puts her babies in and out...in and out...and will cover them up, then in and out again. So cute!

OG with her babies in their miniature Pack n' Play.

I am wondering if this baby can breathe? I think OG missed the class where they said not to but blankets in the baby's crib.

Uh oh, this one is TOTALLY covered up...I think she thought she was cold.

This is after I told OG that maybe the baby might want to breathe..."You're OK baby" she said, as she bonked it on the head.

Sticker fun!

Are pigs flying around out there? I actually have a pic of OG & I!! Everyone always asks why I have pix of OG & Daddy posted but none with OG & MOI. I am always the one taking the pictures so you NEVER see a pic of just me with her. Well here is one...because I took it myself! lol

We were having fun with stickers...not the best pic quality, but I think it is cute and funny!

Silly girls!!

Round and round she goes...

OG got a new Sit -n- Spin recently and she LOVES it! The Sit -n- Spin has changed a lot since the 70's when I played on them. It now plays music and games with you. There is a switch underneath where you can have it in MUSIC mode or GAME mode. The music is fun and exciting and the game is Simon Says. We haven't done the game yet, but we will soon. I personally enjoy the music. Pretty Neato!!

Faulty camera (oh wait...and FIRETRUCKS)

HI!
My camera is having some issues. Actually the ISSUE is that I didn't charge the batteries...oops, but I will blame it on the camera. BAD CAMERA!!! Shame on you!

SO, I have pictures on there for you but I can't turn the camera on to download them...so, you will just have to wait. I hope to charge them tonight so I can at LEAST do Diva Dress-Up tomorrow. :)
Sorry folks!

EDITED LATER TO ADD: Oh wait....I JUST found some pix from visiting the firetruck this wknd that I already downloaded!!

"Fire-FRUCK, Fire-FRUCK" OG calls them...NICE!!! lol We might need to work on that pronunciation a bit. ;)

OG got her hair "did"!!!

In the past week OG has come home from school with pigtails, ponytails, french braids, ponytail sprouts on top of her head and THIS....

I LOVE it! I think it is so cute on her. OG seems to be the little cosmetology test subject at her school. All of the girls LOVE to do her hair. And she will sit there for a long time and let them do it. AMAZING! It is all I can do in the morning to get a brush through her hair to comb out her bed head. :)

Diva Dress-Up (with an "angelic" flare)

OK, so here is your Diva Dress-Up for the week. It actually is kind of not all that great. Apparently, when I brought the camera out of a cool house, and introduced it into a warm outside air, it fogged up on most days this week!!! UGH!! But I think it does cast a sort of angelic halo around OG...I guess some guardian angels are watching over her afterall. :)

Have a great weekend!

Down she comes...

I know I told you that OG moved into her toddler bed a few weeks before her birthday in June. We have left her crib up because we 1) were too lazy to take it down, and 2) we just wanted to make sure she adjusted to her big girl bed alright.

Since she has been in her new bed she has only gotten out TWICE in two months. One time was after she had been in it 5 days...the other was about 2 weeks ago. The one too weeks ago was SUPER funny. She woke up early on a weekend and was just talking to herself in her bed. We could hear her and thought it was funny so we stayed there and listened and did not get up . She then started calling "Mommy...Daddy" and would wait...then she would do it again "Mommy...Daddy?" After a few minutes of us not coming to the rescue, we hear a pounding on her bedroom door and a cute little "Hepp Pleaseeeee...Hepp Pleaseeeee". She was saying HELP PLEASE. It was sooo funny! She was not cyying or anything but just really wanted us to come. So then we couldn't resist and we went in there to get her. FUNNY GIRL!

Well, this past weekend the crib has FINALLY came down because 1) we got sick of being too lazy and leaving it there and 2) it was becoming a catch all for stuff we weren't ready to put away into her closet, drawers etc.

What took HOURS and a whole weekend to put up in the late spring of 2004:

*Please notice the non painted trim in the room and the lack of a mattress. We hadn't quite finished the room yet but by god, the crib NEEDED to be up, I needed that room complete!! What if the baby comes a week or so early?...ha, little did we know

Took less than 15 minutes to take apart in the summer of 2006:

I am sorry that I don't have a pic of the whole thing disassembled in the hallway. It was a sight to see. It has now been retired to the attic where it will stay until we move...then it will go back into the attic of a new house one day and collect dust for all eternity. (Can you tell I don't want another baby?! HA)

Picasso? Rembrandt? Monet??

First it is music, then it is art...OG is well on her way to being a creative gal!! We are proud of her!!
Check her out...

I just love coloring...I think I am good at shadowing and making abstract work.

Let me stand back and admire my MASTERPIECE (and show off my cute dress at the same time)!!!

Being artistic makes me thirsty...time for a sippie cup break!

Hmm? I might need to add a little more color...how about Raw Sienna, Cerulean, Burnt Orange or Chartreuse? OH wait...this Purple Mountain's Majesty looks great!

rat-a-tat-tat

Strike up the band! OG has already seen her first parade…now she is ready to be IN the parade!

Taking after her Daddy (he was a drummer in middle school, but then was not in high school because it wasn’t cool then) she put the drum around her neck and proceeded to march around the living room tapping a happy beat!

She had a good time and even had some rhythm. Maybe she will be in a rock band someday! I just hope she doesn’t get the tongue ring!!
