Raggamuffin Diva Dress-Up

When I was little and slightly askew or disheveled, my Mom would always call me a raggamuffin. I guess it was a term of endearment, but she was basically telling me I was a MESS!

Well, this week's Diva Dress-Up is in honor of all of the little raggamuffins out there. We just could not seem to get it together with OG's outfits this week. W e would take the pix at bad times after her tights were dirtied from the playground, or after a meal where she had food all over her face, or when she was not in the mood and was rolling her eyes at us (I don't think she knows how to roll her eyes yet but at least that is what it looks

like in one of the pix). So basically these pix are a mess. HA

She looks like she is dancing to Michael Jackson's THRILLER here. LOL

I love pumpkins!

I have already told you all how much I love fall..the leaves, the pumpkins, the crispness in the air, the pumpkins, the decorations...did I mention the pumpkins??? ;)

Well, it seems that OG has a love of fall too! She loves her pumpkins & gourds so much she wants to hug and kiss on them. Sometimes when we come home in the evenings, one of the gourds has fallen off the steps...she has to make sure that it gets back in the right place just so. CUTE!

It's workout time!!

This past weekend we went to a birthday party at a place called The Little Gym. It is a fun place where your kids can go and get exercise and do fun activites on gym mats & equipment etc. You can also become a member there and go with your child once a week to "class". It seems like lots of fun but I don't know if I want to pay for it (it is a bit pricey)...you can get gift certificates to there, so that might be an option for future bdays etc.

Umm, HELLO!! someone better get me my cake.

OG had lots of fun at The Little Gym. At first she was a little timid but after a while she was all over and ACTIVE. She walked on the balance beam, did flips, hung from bars, ran on the inflatable thingie and played with the parachute! It was a good time!!

I am gonna crawl through that right there!

I have left the cord that I need to download pix at home for the past 2 days! UGH. I swore I put it in my purse last night but NOOOOOO. UGH!!!!!!! So hopefully I will remember to get it tonight. Sorry. I have tons of really good pix from this weekend!

LUCKILY, I have pix you haven't seen yet from Miss Ava's birthday party 2 weekends ago! TODAY Miss Ava turns ONE! Big girl! She is such a cutie!

OK, I have been busy this week and haven't taken ANY photos except for 2 times! So this is what you get my peeps!!! Have a good wknd...we are off to a 15 yr class reunion in VA for Daddy. Not sure why they all want to see each other again when they just saw each other 5 yrs ago for the 10 yr reunion! Oh well.

Wheewh! All is well...I can eat my cheerios in peace now...Mommy already forgot aboutt he couch last night.

An ounce of prevention...

Apparently last week, or maybe it is this month is Fire Prevention Week/Month. Or maybe I am just making that up...I am not sure. ANYWAY, last week at school, OG got some higher education and learned about Fire Prevention: call 911 for help, do not touch fire, stop drop & roll (not sure about that last one...but if she learend that too, then right on!!!)

They colored fire & flames and added spots to fire dogs. They even made their own firehats and got a certificate that they had agreed to follow all fire safety precautions! All of this at the age of TWO!!! And I only pay $142 a week for this!!! MAN, I am getting my money's worth! ha I can't even get OG to agree to go poopy in the potty!!!






Next week or month maybe it will be "say no to carbs". I might need to attend that class myself!

Diva Dress-Up!!

It's Diva Dress-Up! Happy Friday to all...even if it is Friday the 13th! Be safe and stay away from ladders & black cats!

We have a weekend of fun events (2 birthdays, 1 baptism & maybe 1 festival) to attend, so I hope to have a fun time and some good pix for next week. OG & I are solo this wknd because Daddy is out of town...even the local grandparents are out of town. That should be interesting. What ever will we do!!??

Cows, rides & food...OH MY!

It was a fun time at the fair last week when we went with some friends and their little one "Miss Whit". The weather looked a little sketchy, but after spending some time eating dinner before going to the fair, the weather cleared up. YEAH!! Soooo, we went on our merry way and had a great time! Because we ate dinner beforehand (because we were waiting for the weather to clear) we didn't indulge in all of the Caloric Goodness at the fair. We still enjoyed ourselves though. The smells (good {food} and bad {animal poo}), the sights, the sounds!!! We saw the lady on stilts, lots of animals, lots of food vendors, neat rides!! The girls were up late and a good time was had by all!

Diva Dress-Up

Happy Friday and Happy Diva Dress-Up! Fall is definitely here for the time being....the air is crisp, the days are shorter and it is time for school pictures!!! OG had her school pictures this morning and she was so cute if I do say so myself. She had fun taking them. I am not sure why but she is sort of bashful for school pix. She will smile but only a half smile. Still cute anyway. She wore a little white, tan, red & black plaid skirt with a white shirt and a red sweater vest with a strip of argyle across the chest in the same material as the plaid, white knit tights and red Mary Janes! So cute!

Of COURSE I don't have a pic...we flew out the door a few minutes after 7am (in the dark) to beat the picture rush. I was glad we got there early because she was the 2nd child to go. No one else was there. When we were done, the line was already 5 kids deep. WHEWH!

So, I will try to take some pix of her this afternoon all dirtied up from the playground. ha I will also scan her school pix and post those once we have them in 2 weeks.






Oh yeah, we went to the Fair last night...look for an update on that soon. :)

Bubbles Bubbles Everywhere!!

We love bubbles yes we do...we love bubbles how 'bout you?!? If OG see's a bubble, bubble bottle, bubble blower...anything bubbles, it is a major distraction for her. You could have taken a cookie away from her or thrown her best baby in the trash...but if you bust out with some bubbles, you will be the greatest person on earth!

Vanishing Act...

ME: Where is OG? Where did she go? (this goes on for a few minutes) I don’t see her!! (Well, actually I DO but she doesn’t know that.) I guess if OG is missing then she doesn’t need a snack.

OG: HERE I AM MOMMY!!! Cookie please?????

ME: Whew, I was worried you were lost…I am glad I found you just in time for snack.

OG: Me too!

Funny how kids think they are invisible if they just stand still behind a sheer curtain at their Grandma’s house….those curtains are MAGIC!
