consequences
We got a yellow light earlier this week. Her teacher returned on Monday (from 11 weeks maternity leave)and I KNOW she didn't want to have to do that on her first week back, but she had no choice. OG "pushed" (not hard but more of a Move Over nudge) a little boy and got sat out of the group to think about how she could have handled it differently. While sitting out she started talking....YELLOW LIGHT. UGH
But she did feel bad and was upset about it when she got into the car. Her teacher had texted me earlier in the day to tell me about the incident so I already knew.
I told her after the red light incident that moving forward, for any lights other than green, there would be consequences. This day it was no TV or electronic games or movies. We would just play and spend time together. Dad was out of town, so it was just us.
It ended up being a great night. We made a fort and hung out and had a good time. So in a weird way...I was happy she got that yellow light. But don't tell her that.
