Mastering the Chopsticks

This weekend hubbie found an AWESOME sushi boat at COSTCO! 40 pieces for $16.99! What a deal. There were Ebi, California Rolls, Spicy Rolls, etc. That would have EASILY been $50+ bucks at a restaurant. Of course the rice wasn't quite like the restaurants or homemeade sushi, but it was still yummy. OG tried it and liked the rice part, but that was about it.

As we were setting the table we put chopsticks out for us to eat with. She has seen us use chopsticks in the past. Before we even sat down, she grabbed our chopsticks and tried to use them to eat some Mac n' Cheese. Not so easy...she got frustrated and said "this is too hard for me". It was cute that she at least tried for a while. But she cold only get one noodle at a time. I hate it when that happens. ;) She has teenie hands so it was a bit difficult for her. We need to get her some kid chopcticks to work with. I think though she had more fun PLAYING with the chopstucks and being silly than actually trying to use them.

More pool time...

Where oh where have I been?!? Working, setting up our new digs, organizing….way busy. So sorry. I am short on time today too, but I wanted to send put a few pix of OG at the pool. I am hearing that the natives are getting restless and wanting me to update the blog …so here you go natives!! ;) Sorry, I will get back into it soon!!!

Here she is being a little fishy. She was having a great time and really enjoyed herself. She wanted to jump off the side of the pool over and over and over again. Each and every time she was about to jump, she would say “I don’t want to go under, OK Mommy?” It was funny. She kept repeating it just to make sure we got it. HA We got it!!

The Fourth of July Hat...4 years in review!!

For those of you who have been with us for a while, you know that on OG's first 4th of July while still in the NICU, we took a picture of her in a Fourth of July hat. Every year since then we have managed to capture a picture of her in that same hat. That first FOURTH in 2004 she was sooo small she COULD have fit IN that hat...but we didn't do that for fear the nurses would get mad at us...and rightly so. But NOW look at her...the hat is a DOG hat from Old Navy...it barely fits on her head! AMAZING!
